Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we kick things off in comics where we finally find out what the big Marvel/R.L Stine reveal is! We also break down the upcoming Venom/Spider-man crossover and what to expect from that – as well as a special surprise crossover with DC Comics and Hanna Barbera!
Heading into level 2, we have Nintendo offering up cash bounties to hackers who are able to crack the 3DS firmware – and get into why that’s important for Nintendo moving forward. One of the developers over at Microsoft has a lot of important things to say about 4K gaming’s future, and James gets excited over the biggest ‘Mech announcement in 16 years and won’t shut up about it.
Over in the world of entertainment, we finally are getting an answer to the oldest Blade Runner question…or are we? Deadpool gets a good chunk of talking time as we finally find out why Tim Miller is out and David Leitch is in and close out level 3 with news about what the hell is happening to the DC cinematic universe.
Our epilogue this week is about gamer entitlement – what it means and what we are all actually entitled to when we purchase a product. As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (info@thesurlynerd.com!)
