More women in comics, the girl scouts go gaming and how fantastic can the Fantastic Four movie be?
Not Pictured: Female Thor
Greetings adventurers, it’s an all new episode of The Surly Nerd. We kick off the week with our prelude where we open with all the video games we have been playing and all the movies we have been watching that came out five years ago. We head into level one, comic industry news by talking about the changes in the Marvel U and DC U where women take center stage. Thor becomes female and Batgirl gets new writers and a new (read: practical) costume. It’s a fanboys (or fangirls!) dream!
From those diatribes we move directly into gaming news where the girl scouts open their doors to game development, Tekken decides to side with Unreal and Sony wants to get in Wii owners pants. We top the week off with more fantastic movie news, get down and dirty with what is new in the world of Halloween Horror Nights. It’s another fantastic week for nerdy news so get ready to strap yourself in for the week-in-review madness that is our show and don’t forget to send us your summer fun time pictures with your #nerdventure hashtag!
