Episode 148: Batman vs. Ninja Turtles vs. The Surly Nerd

Batman, Turtles and Nerds, OH MY! All this and more on this weeks…THE SURLY NERD!

Excited for Batman v Turtles? We are!
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we head into comics where we talk all about Batman teaming up with the Ninja Turtles, the new IDW comics GHOSTBUSTERS series, who Spider-Gwen is teaming up with next and more on the Dark Knight prequel. We close out level one with some Civil War 2 rumors and a big ‘ol discussion about how NYCC felt like an actual comic convention this year.
In game industry news, we hear even more about the game voice actors getting ready to strike, Microsoft buying the HAVOK engine and what that means, and we chat about the status of CYBERPUNK 2077. The curtains fall on level two with a discussion how Destiny is really an MMO with new microtransaction offerings.
Over in the world of entertainment, Seth Rogan is looking at “The Boys”. From there we dive into the Killing Joke possibly being rated R, Fear Street becoming a movie, and Battle Angel Alita finally getting some traction. Entertainment news comes to an end this week as we get into…Entertainment News and why social media is bad for it.
Our epilogue this week is all about our continuing thoughts on the fall TV lineup. As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (info@thesurlynerd.com!)
