Why is Horror so important to us? We discuss this and the week in geeky news, on an all new…The Surly Nerd!
Why do we love horror?
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we head into comics where we have talks about what Deadpool 2 is going to be about! We also praise the sun with some Dark Souls comic news and debate if CBS actually needs a superhero show or not. Level one comes to a close with Civil War II delays and a lengthy follow-up talk about the state of the DCCU due to a letter leaked to the press over the week.
In game industry news, Nintendo Power is taken offline, Telltale games is teasing us with a Mr. Robot project and Nordic games becomes THQ Nordic. We wrap up level 2 with a discussion about the new “Prey” game, and talk at length about what Sony’s next move is – with Gamescom upon us.
Over in the world of entertainment, Stranger Things gets its own Vinyl, and we talk more than we should about the upcoming He-Man movie. David Lynch tells us how long Twin Peaks will be, David Fincher is in talks to work on World War Z 2 and we get into the topic of video game adaptations and if they should happen at all.
Our epilogue this week is about the importance of Horror. As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (firstname.lastname@example.org!)
