Episode 334 : The Future Of PlayStation

Changes are happening at Sony, but what does that mean for the PS5?

Kicking things off this week, we start on a happy note as we talk about the delays to the Master Chief Collection and why that’s a good thing. Blizzard takes center stage as Diablo 4 implements micro transactions and we find out just how much money Activision has made in the last quarter alone in micro transactions. We also have a slew of TV renewals to get hyped for, to wash the bad Blizzard talk out of our mouths.
Also this week, Scream is in talks to hit the big screen again – but do we want it? Jeff Kaplan finally opens up on the Blizzard ruling of Blitzchung and China is putting stricter regulations on how much their citizens can game. We close out the news this week with Smash Brother becoming the largest selling fighting game of all time, and with good reason.

From there we get into why Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is getting a delay and why that could be a good thing for everyone.
Also this week, Hawkeye is getting a new, really cool sounding series. Venom 2 is getting a new villain added to its ranks, and the creator of The Punisher finally speaks out about police co-opting the Punisher’s logo. We close out the news this week talking about Devolver’s opinion on the Steam vs Epic store debate, and Capcom teases us with talks about revitalizing old IPs that they own.
Our Boss Room this week is about the Modern Warfare Battle Pass and if it’s the answer to the microtransaction model plaguing modern video games.
