From Shadowrun to Neuromancer, why are we drawn back into the world of Cyberpunk again and again?
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we head right into the weekly raid (our news roundup).
Kicking things off this week, was the Star Wars Celebration. We got to hear about the upcoming game Jedi: Fallen Order, what’s Disney+ is and is all about, and even got the lowdown on new Star Wars one-shot comics that will be coming around the corner. Marvel keeps the hype train rolling with an announcement about Sue Storm (finally) getting her own solo series.
We get critical about Robert Englunds new Travel Channel mini-series, and Poltergeist is back in a hell of a big way. Rounding out our news this week is a discussion on the Google Stadia and what the higher ups over at Microsoft’s Xbox division think about it.
This weeks BOSS ROOM is all about the genre of Cyberpunk, why it’s had a resurgence and why we just keep coming back to it time after time.
As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (firstname.lastname@example.org!)
