France wants you to be able to resell games on Steam, but will it work?
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we head right into the weekly raid (our news roundup).
Kicking things off this week, we have even MORE announcements about the upcoming Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover and Marvel throws down the first list of 2099 one-shot titles coming out in November. We also have Fede Alvarez taking up the next installment of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Sam Rami is coming back to horror in a big way.
Also this week, we discuss what’s in store for HBO’s Watchmen series and Anthem makes some huge changes to their roadmap and we debate if it’s going to be enough to keep the game alive. Closing out the news this week we talk about a new Netflix horror show coming to us thanks to a Danish Podcast and we close out discussing the new Peacock network and the reboot of Battlestar Galactica and sequel to Saved by the Bell that’s right around the corner.
Our Boss Room this week is a discussion about France’s ruling on reselling digital titles on Steam and if it will actually work.
As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (firstname.lastname@example.org!)

Are we ready to Switch to Nintendo?
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we kick things off in comics with the Learn How to Draw app that’s coming to you from the artist behind Spider-man 2099. We also say goodbye to the A-force comic this week as we welcome two new X-men comics, being written to take us back to the 90s.
Over in games, we discuss the currently on-going writers strike and get a little serious talking about the link between violence and video games. Lash closes down level two with the history of No Man’s Sky and a talk about why it is failing in the eyes of its fans.
Over in the world of entertainment, Deadpool 2 is getting a new director – but we don’t know if that’s a good thing or not. Also, we break down the acquisition of Warner Brothers by AT&T and attempt to bring some levity to the show as we discuss Joss Whedon’s new horror movie.
Our epilogue this week is ALL about the Nintendo Switch announcement! As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (email@example.com!)
