After our prelude, we head into comics where IDW has created a new Spider-Man title that is looking to bring more kids into comics. DC’s Black Label is getting expanded with some great Elseworlds titles and it looks like comic books are finally making a comeback.

Kicking off video game news this week, Microsoft is making huge waves with the acquisition of two major RPG developers. Microsoft also announced when mouse and keyboard support is coming to the Xbox and Playstation now is much bigger than anyone (including us) thought.

Over in the world of entertainment, Sabrina is going to be taking over Christmas (since Doctor Who isn’t). Pacific Rim and Altered Carbon are getting their own animated series on Netflix and Moonshadow might just be the next modern horror movie to scare us in a way that no other movie has done before.

Our epilogue this week is about the life and influence of the late Stan Lee.

Heading into level two, the creation of Red Dead Redemption 2 is causing some huge issues in the video game industry. Sony is finally breaking their silence about the next Playstation and we’re hearing rumors about a Nintendo Switch 2.0.

Over in the world of entertainment, Jordan Peele is working on an adaptation of the horror book “Lovecraft Country”. NBC is developing a series based in the world of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter and the BBC and Netflix are looking to create an all-new Dracula story.

Heading into level two, Kingdom Hearts gets a cool VR game ahead of the release of Kingdom Hearts 3. Kingdoms of Amalur is being given a second life thanks to THQ Nordic and the head of Xbox has some choice words for Sony’s stance on cross-platform play.

Over in the world of entertainment, we finally know who is playing Geralt in The Witcher Netflix adaptation. James gets super hyped about a documentary on ALIEN, and the news about New Mutants has us all very excited again.

Heading into level two, Streets of Rage 4 is finally happening and we cannot be more excited for it. Square Enix has a new partner than has us all a little nervous, and Xbox is trying out a new way to get a console and hundreds of new games – at little cost to you.
