It’s time for our 2019 console state of the union!
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we head right into the weekly raid (our news roundup).
Kicking things off this week, we re-visit our game violence discussion as ESPN cancels an Apex Legends tournament due to the recent shootings. Venom 2 already has a writer and director attached to it that we are here for. Crisis On Infinite Earths gets even bigger with the addition of Smallville.
Also this week, DC has a lot going on with struggling digital sales, their Walmart line of comics expanding and Disney + looming on the horizon. We wrap up the news this week with a talk about 2k games and them threatening a popular youtuber and Phil Spencer giving us his thoughts on modern day consoles.
Our Boss Room this week is our yearly gaming console state of the union!
As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (email@example.com!)
