This week comics take center stage on…THE SURLY NERD!
Hawkeye and Deadpool in all their glory!
Greetings adventurers, it’s an all new episode of The Surly Nerd! We kick it off with the prelude where we chime in about what is keeping us busy. From there we move on over to Comic Industry News where we hear some forward thinking from Marvel, talk a little bit about Deadpool and Hawkeye hooking up and what is going to change in the DCU come December.
In Game Industry News, we jump right into the big discussion of what Microsoft acquisition of Minecraft means to the average joe and if it was a good move to make. We chat it up for a bit over Gamestop pulling its stores out of Spain and what that means in terms of the company as a whole and wrap up level 2 with talks about the new Resident Evil game and how episodic content might be the future of AAA titles. Over in Entertainment News we get into the abstract concepts behind production studios control over film, as well as some deeper talks about what’s in store for the Spider-man franchise. We close up shop this week with George Romero’s comments about the state of Horror as a whole and in the Epilogue we tackle the challenge of cross-media continuity.
Grab a drink and settle on in for this weeks action packed episode of…The Surly Nerd!
