In game industry news, EA is bowing out of E3 proper and we try and dive into why that is. We also talk about X-Com and X-Com The Long War and what those things mean to the upcoming X-Com 2. From there we jump into the delays of Mighty No. 9 and close the curtains on level two with a discussion about the future of older game developers in a young mans game.
Over in the world of entertainment, we get into the Sundance Film Festival – both what it is and what Amazon and Netflix were doing there this year. We also get into an upcoming movie called “Dark Knight” and if it’s alright to have a film about movie theater shootings at this point in time. The tail end of our entertainment news is about Deadpool expectations and what Marvel Studios is doing to keep their superhero movies alive. Entertainment news comes to an end this week with a heated discussion about the Oscars and the controversy behind them.
Our epilogue is absent this week as we need to get on the road to PAX South. As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (firstname.lastname@example.org!)
