In a time of great unrest, what can the X-men teach us about how to live in this current political climate? Come with us as we discuss our brave new world, and the week in geek news, on an all new episode of…The Surly Nerd!
We are the X-men
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, (and about 5 takes due to studio errors) we kick things off with a fun talk about Mr. Bean getting his very own comic book. Also, we have news about a new convention coming to San Francisco as well as the results of Octobers comic book sales. Did Marvel come out on top with their new series of #1’s?
Over in games, we break down what the Xbox insider program is and why the nature of the word “beta” has fundamentally changed over the years. Capcom tells us what their predictions for Resident Evil 7 are and we finally get a leaked price on the all-new Nintendo Switch.
Over in the world of entertainment, remakes are afoot with a re-telling of the Hollywood classic “Nosferatu” in the pipeline. We also have news about a remake of “American Werewolf in London” by none other than John Landis’ son. Level 3 comes to a close with all the rumors you can shake a stick as for the X-men film franchise.
Our epilogue this week is a little more political in nature as we take a look at the X-men and how important they are to our current political climate. As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (email@example.com!)
