What does the release of Apex Legends tell us about shows like E3?
Why are you not playing Apex Legends right now?
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we head into comics where Hellboy is celebrating his 25th birthday with one heck of a beer release. Rob Liefeld is taking us into the world of Deadpool one last time, and Donny Cates REALLY wants to reboot the Ultimates universe.
Kicking off video game news this week, a ton of class PC games such as Baldur’s Gate are about to find a new home on modern video game consoles. Microsoft Studios is changing their name for the better, and troubles are afoot over at Activision Blizzard.
Over in the world of entertainment, Sony is making their animation software accessible for the masses, so we can all make our own Spider-Verse movie. Hulu is launching 4 new animated Marvel series, and Scorsese and Hulu have teamed up to bring the legend of H.H Holmes to life.
Our epilogue this week is about the release of Apex Legends, and how it impacts major trade shows like E3.
As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (firstname.lastname@example.org!)
