This week was E3, one of the biggest video game tradeshows in the history of the medium, and we are here to tell you what all went down and what’s going to be coming out over the next year. Our show format is a little different with this episode so strap yourselves in for a crazy video game filled ride on this very special bonus episode of…The Surly Nerd!

In Game Industry News (37:00) – A Kingdom Hearts survey rolls out to fans, Nintendo turns down mobile AGAIN but keeps with consoles, The Room sells gangbusters and has things to say to the games industry about it, Microsoft wants Xbox Live on ALL THE THINGS, Rockstar gets honored by BAFTA, Broderbund donates to the museum to play and the PS3 gets HBO.
In Entertainment News (1:13:00) – The Harlem Hellfighters comes to the big screen, Michael B. Jordan talks about becoming the Human Torch, we get the cast for Constantine, Sam Rami takes on The Last of Us, Texas Chainsaw goes 4k, A Monster Calls moves from book to film, we might get more of The Matrix and Josh Boone gets ready to tackle The Stand.
This week in Comic Industry News: Mark Waid’s run of Daredevil ends but where does that leave Daredevil?, Marvel says fuck spoilers and tells us the plot of Iron Man, DC Comics gets more cover variants, and IDW uses toys to sell more comics
In Game Industry News: Kojima makes MGS for the west, Sony wants you to bid your trophies for stuff, The Wii begins to leave us, Sony and Microsoft fight over real name use online, and Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg tells us if games should be more like movies
In Entertainment News: Marcia Wallace leaves us, Clive Barker talks Hellraiser, Batman tells us that DC can’t get their animated shit together and Wonder Woman agrees, Sony and Marvel team up with Tumblr to make geeks speculate about unimportant nonsense, Ant-man becomes a heist movie and steals our hearts, and we wrap it all up with something about Michael Bay that gives Tony a hard on.

We also discuss FFXV and Kingdom Hearts on the Xbox alongside E3 calling the cops on the Ouya and George Lucas’ opinions on the next generation of games
In Level 3: Entertainment News we debate phase 3 of Marvels movies, a new Terminator film, how well Superman did at the movies, who is tackling the new Tomb Raider movie, Michael Bay destroying another franchise, the newest news for everything Star Wars related and how Gene Wilder feels about the remake of Willy Wonka
