Tony and James take on DOOMSDAY and more on an all new episode of…The Surly Nerd!
Do we NEED Doomsday in Dawn of Justice?
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our (Mad Max [non-spoiler] filled) prelude we jump into comics, with a new He-man comic collection that has James excited. We also cover the failed Archie kickstarter, the DC Comics Bombshell comics, why calling Secret Wars a ‘jumping on point’ is important with a bit of a rant about the new Captain America toy that has us ticked off at Marvel.
In game industry news, Nintendo is opening up a theme park at Universal Studios, Sony is going to be launching No Man’s Sky as if it was their own first person title, and we talk a bit about why World of Warcraft has been hemorrhaging players over the last several months. From there we go into Igarashi’s “not-Castlevania” kickstarter, where Konami’s new investments will be localized and get into the heated debate about Microsoft’s ability to disable your X-Box One remotely.
Over in the world of entertainment, we tell you about the X-men movie no one cares about, why Age of Ultron “broke” Joss Whedon as a director as well as news about the Ratchet and Clank movie of all things. We close out entertainment news with our thoughts on DOOMSDAY coming to the new Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice movie and tie it all together with our thoughts on Hollywood remakes.
Our epilogue this week is ALL about our E3 predictions for this year. As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (firstname.lastname@example.org!)
