Kicking things off this week, huge casting news comes to us about the upcoming remake of “The Stand”. We continue our King talk with his newest book getting an adaptation and Kojima open up about what real life events influenced the making of Death Stranding.
Also this week, we have Wonder Woman making her black label debut. Dragon Quest 1-3 are coming to the Switch and Project Resistance is a new Resident Evil game that you should keep an eye on. We close out the news with a discussion about Fallout 76’s new microtransactions and what they mean for the future of the game.
Our Boss Room this week is about Gamestop’s plans to change their stores to hopefully save them.

We also have IMAGE pulling together an anthology to support the survivors of the Las Vegas shooting and James gets super excited about an all-new Bloodborne comic.
Heading into level two, we give the deets on what Super Mario Odyssey sold and cover all the big news that came out of Blizzcon. There’s also a (strangely) cool announcement from GameStop and microtransactions take center stage again as we talk about Monster Hunter World.
Over in the world of entertainment, we debate if we want/need a prequel movie to “Night of the Living Dead”. Fans finally get the Friday the 13th/Evil Dead crossover they have always wanted and arguments have to be made for and against wanting a new Twilight Zone reboot.
Our epilogue is week is all about the possible acquisition of Fox properties by Disney.

Episode 202: What Makes Batman Great?

Heading into level two, GAMESTOP is getting ready to close down a bunch of retail locations and Facebook is entering the game streaming…game. Blizzard blows away level two with not one but two amazing Starcraft announcements that have us requiring additional pylons.
Over in the world of entertainment, VENOM gets a ton of new announcements and we get the final word on what’s going on with Zombieland 2. The curtains fall on level three with a break down of the website Rotten Tomatoes, and if it’s really worth trusting.

In video game industry news, Konami kicks up even more controversy surrounding Kojima leaving and what that means for Silent Hills. Gamestop is knocking it out of the park with its digital sales while the creator of Oddworld tell us why he thinks capitalism is killing video games and we give you our reasons why we both agree and disagree with him. Over in Entertainment news, Ready Player One is ready for prime time, we’re getting both a Spock and Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark documentary which sends our inner nerds screaming. We close out level 3 with Jason Segel taking over some LEGO projects and why your inner child should be excited about it.
