Back to the Future week comes to a close and the internet loses it over Star Wars. All this and more, on an all new episode of…THE SURLY NERD!
Why DO people love Dredd so much?
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we head into comics where we talk all about the newly-released Back to the Future series, follow it up with a Judge Dredd Megazine anniversary and we get way too excited about a Locke and Key audiobook and Bob Kane getting his star on the Hollywood walk of fame. We close out level one with some Deadpool news and try and figure out why Marvel is supporting Deadpool, but not the X-Men.
In game industry news, Harmonix gets busted for posting Rock Band 4 reviews, Bonnie Ross tells us how she wants to run the HALO franchise and we get even MORE confused by what Konami is saying now about Hideo Kojima. The curtains fall on level two with a discussion on what the director of Final Fantasy XV would like to work on next with our main topic this week being all about the newest information on the Nintendo NX.
Over in the world of entertainment, we get into the newest muppet on Sesame Street and what Del Toro would love to work on with Stephen King. We dissect the new day and date Video-On-Demand service and what controversy it is causing, Tony fanboys over Die Hard some more and we tell everyone why it’s important to have an older Batman in the upcoming films. Entertainment news comes to an end this week as we get into Star Wars fever and if burnout is around the corner for everyone.
Our epilogue this week is all about…US! As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (email@example.com!)
