EA Games is back to make everyone’s lives miserable!
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we head right into the weekly raid (our news roundup).
Kicking things off this week, Cyberpunk takes center stage as we get a break down on how their DLC will work and discuss the all-new tabletop RPG coming out that will act as a prelude to the main CDPR game. From there we move to Bungie and their in-office quality of life changes and DC Comics’ plan for the Vertigo line.
The comic news keeps rolling in as we talk about Netflix’s plan for the Dark Crystal. JJ Abrams is teaming up with his son to work on a special Spider-Man project for Marvel comics and our raid winds down as we talk about Take-Two’s CEO’s opinion on video game unions. (spoilers, it’s not great)
Our Boss Room this week is about EA games and what they have been doing (and ruining) in the world of video games.
As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (email@example.com!)

Are we ready to Switch to Nintendo?
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we kick things off in comics with the Learn How to Draw app that’s coming to you from the artist behind Spider-man 2099. We also say goodbye to the A-force comic this week as we welcome two new X-men comics, being written to take us back to the 90s.
Over in games, we discuss the currently on-going writers strike and get a little serious talking about the link between violence and video games. Lash closes down level two with the history of No Man’s Sky and a talk about why it is failing in the eyes of its fans.
Over in the world of entertainment, Deadpool 2 is getting a new director – but we don’t know if that’s a good thing or not. Also, we break down the acquisition of Warner Brothers by AT&T and attempt to bring some levity to the show as we discuss Joss Whedon’s new horror movie.
Our epilogue this week is ALL about the Nintendo Switch announcement! As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (firstname.lastname@example.org!)
