Episode 179: The Importance of Villainy

What is it about villains that makes us love them so much? Get into being bad with us, and the week in geek news, on an all new episode of…The Surly Nerd!

admit it, villains are the best
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we kick things off in comics with all the improvements that are coming to NYCC. We also have an update on the newest THOR movie as well as a breakdown of the biggest selling comics in September.
In games, the great VR debate has finally launched, and we get super rant-y about the nature of DLC and microtransactions. Level two comes to a close with some idle chatter about the Final Fantasy fan festival and all the news that came out from it.
Over in the world of entertainment, Tony gets upset over the newest Harry Potter news and we scratch our heads over the announcement of a War of the Worlds television show. We also re-visit the re-make of Nightmare on Elm street to discuss why it deserved so much better than it got.
Our epilogue this week is Villains, why we love them and why they are so important! As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (info@thesurlynerd.com!)
