EA won a huge award this week that they probably don’t want and Deaths Stranding gets an all new mode for people who just like a good story. We close out the news this week talking about a new mode in Cyberpunk and how it will play out.

Marvel keeps the hype train rolling with an announcement about Sue Storm (finally) getting her own solo series.
We get critical about Robert Englunds new Travel Channel mini-series, and Poltergeist is back in a hell of a big way. Rounding out our news this week is a discussion on the Google Stadia and what the higher ups over at Microsoft’s Xbox division think about it.
This weeks BOSS ROOM is all about the genre of Cyberpunk, why it’s had a resurgence and why we just keep coming back to it time after time.

Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we head into comics where Uncanny X-men is coming back in a huge (giant sized) way. Also this week, it was announced that Captain Marvel is getting a new one-shot before the release of her movie. Level one wraps up with the silliest Iceman announcement ever.
Heading into level two, Miyamoto from Nintendo has a lot to say about the current state of the video game business. Steam.tv accidentally got shown off by Valve and people are excited for it. Cyberpunk 2077 takes over the rest of level two with a huge discussion about what we can expect from CD Projekt Red’s newest offering.
Over in the world of entertainment, Hollywood seems to be having some huge issues when it comes to deciding what the rating of the Venom movie should be. James’ gets a little angry over the announcement of a Jacob’s Ladder re-imagining and everyone gets super hyped for the newest news about Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark.
