We also discuss the upcoming ROBOCOP documentary, the I KILL GIANTS movie and the rumors of a new Dungeons and Dragons movie. Level 3 comes to and end with a discussion about foreign horror and if it needs to really be remade by Hollywood or not.
Our epilogue this week is shows and movies staying true to their source material, as chosen by Tony. As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (info@thesurlynerd.com!)

Episode 98: Michael Bay Goes BOOM!

Catwoman, Disney and, Fucking Michael Bay

The new amazing look of Selina Kyle – Catwoman
It’s an all new episode of The Surly Nerd, ready to get all geeky up in your ear holes. We jump into this week with the prelude (as always). Inside the prelude we talk about what you missed at RTX and wonder why everyone has (finally) joined us on the hating Michael Bay bad-wagon. Witness Tony have a Michael Bay crisis of faith. Things get even crazier as we discuss the possibility of an African-American Captain America. Catwoman finally gets a good female writer taking control of her comics which makes us happy. We are finally happy seeing DC moving in the right direction for many of their non-movie projects! (Now if only Disney could make some intelligent decisions with their IPs)
Eventually our multitude of rants take us to the end where we spend a long time talking about the state of the movie industry any why butts are not firmly planted in theater seats. Is Michael Bay is the only thing driving people to the movies these days? Are we resigning ourselves to a million more shitty Transformer movies? All that, with Nintendo, Final Fantasy, Disney and MORE to come! Get ready to strap yourself in for the week-in-review madness that is our show and don’t forget to send us your summer fun time pictures with your #nerdventure hashtag!

And Michael Bay being as shitty as only Michael Bay can.
