Should online streaming platforms be banned from film festivals and awards?
We love you, Netflix
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we head into comics where we give you a very special mini-epilogue this week thanks to Marvel Comics. There’s some fantastic (4) news, what’s new for the Inhumans and even the X-Men have tons talk about during this special Marvel take over!
Heading into level two, Sony is dropping the price of the PSVR but does that spell the death of VR? There’s also some sad news for Amazon’s Breakaway game and Square Enix is making some bold moves with their new gaming studio.
Over in the world of entertainment, there’s some tragic news for everyone who was excited for The Dark Phoenix and New Mutants movies. Stephen King takes over the second half of our entertainment section with news about the upcoming Tommyknockers movie and some possibly less exciting news about the upcoming adaptation of The Stand.
Our epilogue this week is about streaming services being banned from film festivals and awards.
As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (email@example.com!)
