Rob Zombie has some choice words for the motion picture association
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we head into comics where we talk all about the new upcoming series of Neil Gaiman shorts brought to you by Dark Horse. Over on the Marvel side we have Steve Rogers returning to the mantle of Captain America, news about Civil War II and Vision #1 being bundled with Spider-man/Deadpool #1. We close out level one with a talk about Gwen Pool and how much comic companies should cater to their audience.
In game industry news, we get all into the Oculus Rift and its requirements as it gets closer to its release window, and find out what is going on with this System Shock sequel we keep hearing about. Also, we have Microsoft telling us about the future of the Xbox as well as Star Citizen passing over $100 million in crowd funding. The curtains fall on level two with a discussion about Hideo Kojima, and how the industry he loved tried to destroy him.
Over in the world of entertainment, we get into Captain America turning 75, followed by Vin Diesel giving us the goods on what is coming down the pipeline for Riddick. We also have the controversy of Rob Zombies new film, how James Cameron is going to change Terminator 2 for its anniversary, and Mad Max winning even more best picture awards. Entertainment news comes to an end this week as we get into the mess that is the ALIEN franchise.
Our epilogue this week is all about the final word on Destiny and if it can survive as a product. As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (firstname.lastname@example.org!)

Catwoman, Disney and, Fucking Michael Bay
The new amazing look of Selina Kyle – Catwoman
It’s an all new episode of The Surly Nerd, ready to get all geeky up in your ear holes. We jump into this week with the prelude (as always). Inside the prelude we talk about what you missed at RTX and wonder why everyone has (finally) joined us on the hating Michael Bay bad-wagon. Witness Tony have a Michael Bay crisis of faith. Things get even crazier as we discuss the possibility of an African-American Captain America. Catwoman finally gets a good female writer taking control of her comics which makes us happy. We are finally happy seeing DC moving in the right direction for many of their non-movie projects! (Now if only Disney could make some intelligent decisions with their IPs)
Eventually our multitude of rants take us to the end where we spend a long time talking about the state of the movie industry any why butts are not firmly planted in theater seats. Is Michael Bay is the only thing driving people to the movies these days? Are we resigning ourselves to a million more shitty Transformer movies? All that, with Nintendo, Final Fantasy, Disney and MORE to come! Get ready to strap yourself in for the week-in-review madness that is our show and don’t forget to send us your summer fun time pictures with your #nerdventure hashtag!
