It’s time to get hyped for 2020!
Greetings adventurers! This week we are talking all things nerdy that we are excited for in 2020. Join us for a very special episode of The Surly Nerd!
Is the Battle Pass our freedom from microtransactions?
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we head right into the weekly raid (our news roundup).
Kicking things off this week, we follow up on Activision Blizzard and talk about all the news that came out about them since our last episode. We head over to the world of HBO Max with a new show being brought to us from the creators of “Riverdale” and “Sabrina”. From there we get into why Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is getting a delay and why that could be a good thing for everyone.
Also this week, Hawkeye is getting a new, really cool sounding series. Venom 2 is getting a new villain added to its ranks, and the creator of The Punisher finally speaks out about police co-opting the Punisher’s logo. We close out the news this week talking about Devolver’s opinion on the Steam vs Epic store debate, and Capcom teases us with talks about revitalizing old IPs that they own.
Our Boss Room this week is about the Modern Warfare Battle Pass and if it’s the answer to the microtransaction model plaguing modern video games.
As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (email@example.com!)
