Adventurers…come out and plaaaaaaaaay! It’s time for Season 3 of The Surly Nerd!!!
After a little time away we’ve come back and in full frakking force. As we work to redesign the show top to bottom we invite you to come along with us as we pick up right where we left off last season, excited and angry at all the latest nerd news that has been announced, beamed into our brains directly from Cybertron.

It’s about to get obscene
Join us as we journey across the latest comic headlines, getting into the gritty details of the latest changes made in the Marvel and DC universes both in the world of comics and outside of it. Be wowed and amazed as we become an explosion of information about the world of game development from Riot Games to why the Oculus Rift is poised to take over the world…and how we are powerless to stop it. Quake in fear as we go balls deep into entertainment news, from Predator reboots to dystopian worlds we are ready to see on the big screen. After all that hot mess is done we wrap up the first episode of season 3 with a discussion as to why women are so damn important to the creative side of nerd entertainment.

Episode 15: O Surly Nerd, Where Art Thou?

Less explosions than a Michael Bay film but always more entertaining, we are: The Surly Nerd
Greetings adventurers and welcome back to our little Inn on the internet we call The Surly Nerd. As we enter into episode 15 this week we kick the news off with Level 1: Technology News where we talk about the riots and lawsuits following Apple around on the heels of the new iPhone release. We go from there to cyber attacks on banks, Valve talking about Steam for Linux, HPs CEO and Maingears all in one gaming PC.
Over in Level 2: Video Game News we cover Popcaps employees getting laid off, World of Warcraft, Google trying to understand the modern gamer, Phantasy Star Online 2, the unreleased Cabin in the Woods game, a couple new trilogy releases, some Sony news and 343s plans for Halo.
We close out our show with a heaping helping of Level 3: Entertainment news. This week we discuss Captain America being sworn in as president, Ghostbusters getting rebooted, a Spy Hunter Movie and a ton of Marvel movie news. From there we talk about the Vatican’s opinion of Promethus, what to expect in the new Sin City movie, the lawsuit over the Dark Knight shooting and close out Level 3 with Tonys rant about things Michael Bay has said recently.
