Episode 163: Leave Captain America Alone!

From New X-Boxes to Captain America, we address the things that make you make angry tweet – on an all new episode of…The Surly Nerd!

Delay and all, we need No Man’s Sky
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we head into comics where we find out about the new X-men TV spinoff, LEGION! We also chat about the all-new IDW shared universe and James gets a little too excited over the prospect of a DISHONORED comic book line. Level one comes to a close with a discussion about the DC television vs film properties and how one hurts the other.
In game industry news, things get tense when the topic of EA’s thoughts on WWI come up and get even worse as we argue if VR is actually worth the price of entry. After that, Injustice 2 news perks our spirits back up only to be crushed by a discussion about fanboys reaction to NO MAN’S SKY being delayed. Our main topic for level two is all about the new rumors that the X-box will be getting a new system – hot on the heels of the new PS 4.5 announcement.
Over in the world of entertainment, we chat about John Carpenter a lot – from his announcement on the new Halloween project to what he thinks about Friday the 13th. After that we break down what’s new in the world of Friday the 13th and Tony gets on a rant about why a live action Little Mermaid could work and or bomb. Level 3 comes to an end as we talk about the Star Wars Rogue One re-shoots and why it’s not as big of a deal as people are making it out to be.
Our epilogue this week is about the major plot twist that happened in Captain America’s world. As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (info@thesurlynerd.com!)
