Episode 268 : Derailing The Hype Train

When it comes to game pre-releases, how much hype is too much?

Does Cyberpunk have too much hype?
Greetings adventurers, and welcome to this weeks installment of The Surly Nerd! After our prelude, we head into comics where we have a fantastic announcement about what’s new in the world of Wonder Woman. Titan is stepping up their comics game by giving fans a new look into the world of Blade Runner. Finally in level one, we talk about about the un-filmed William Gibson Aliens sequel and if we will ever see it in comic form.
Heading into level two, we have a fantastic and yet sad update on the home-grown remake of P.T/Silent Hills. E-sports takes center stage in level 2 as the Overwatch League is branching out to major networks for their finals. Level two winds down with a discussion on the failed Aliens: Colonial Marines and what one fan did to finally fix its mistakes.
Over in the world of entertainment, Ingress is going to be getting a new batch of lore thanks to a little streaming site called Netflix. Joss Whedon is back at it again with an all-new pseudo superhero show that will air on HBO and we get some interesting news about a possible new Robocop movie that has everyone on the panel really excited.
Our epilogue this week is about hyping a game too early before its release.
As always, we appreciate all our adventurers who listen to the show every week and we look forward to your feedback on what we discuss! (info@thesurlynerd.com!)
